Mrs. Christine Rosado
Discovery Elementary School Principal
Mrs. Rosado is excited to be the new principal at Discovery Elementary School. She was born in New York and grew up in South Florida. She attended Florida Atlantic University, majored in Elementary Education, and received her Educational Leadership from Stetson University. The 2025-2026 school year will be Mrs. Rosado's 15th year in education. Mrs. Rosado served as a teacher and instructional coach for 6 years in Osceola County, a district resource teacher for reading and math in Orange County for 3 years and the last 4 years, she was the assistant principal at Gemini Elementary School in Melbourne Beach. Mrs. Rosado believes that each and every student, family and educator on our campus should feel loved, welcomed, safe and valued at Discovery Elementary School.
Mrs. Rosado and her husband, Jovani have two children. Olivia, 10 and Ethan, 7 both are students in Brevard County. In their spare time, the Rosados enjoy exploring outside, laughing together and playing games as a family.

Mrs. Angela Grandinetti
Discovery Elementary School Assistant Principal
Mrs. Grandinetti is honored to begin her fourth year serving as the Assistant Principal at Discovery Elementary School. She was born in Queens, New York and moved to Palm Coast, Florida at the age of four. She graduated from the University of North Florida with her Bachelor’s in English Literature and a minor in Child-Adolescent Psychology in 2014. She began teaching Kindergarten at a Title I school in Duval County immediately after graduation and then moved to Brevard County the following school year. In 2020, Mrs. Grandinetti graduated from the University of Central Florida with her Masters in Educational Leadership. She taught first grade and served as a teacher leader at Tropical Elementary School, Holland Elementary School, and Discovery Elementary School, up until she became the Assistant Principal of Discovery Elementary. Mrs. Grandinetti and her husband have two children, Jensen who is eight and a third grader at Discovery, and Annabelle, who is going to turn four in October. She loves to spend time with her family, working out, reading on the beach, offshore fishing, and traveling.

Mrs. Jesy Speiser
Discovery Elementary School Literacy Coach
Mrs. Spesier (formerly Ms. Watts) is honored and so excited to be the Literacy Coach at Discovery for a third year. The 2025-2026 will be Mrs. Speiser’s 13th year serving the families of Discovery. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013. Mrs. Speiser was born in Miami, FL (Go, Canes!) and moved to Brevard as a teenager. She is a proud BPS graduate of Melbourne High School. Mrs. Speiser and her husband, Eric, have 3 furbabies - Alice, Kade, and Rusty. She loves reading, cats, and traveling.

Mrs. Tracey Rosato
Discovery Elementary School Elementary Specialist
Mrs. Rosato is excited to start her role as the Elementary Specialist for Discovery! This is her 7th year at Discovery and her 13th year teaching. She was born and raised on Long Island, New York and moved to Florida 10 years ago. She attended St. Joseph's College for her Bachelors Degree in Child Study. She received her Masters Degree in Literacy from Long Island University in 2013 and a second Masters Degree from UCF in Exceptional Student Education in 2022. Mrs. Rosato loves to continue her education and is currently working towards her Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership.
In her free time she loves to spend time with her husband Pete and two children, Avery and Liam. She enjoys reading and cheering her kids on at the baseball and softball fields!
Mr. Jacob Markisen
Discovery Elementary School Social Worker
Mr. Markisen is the School Social Worker here at Discovery. He was born and raised right here in Palm Bay, Florida. This will be his 8th year at Discovery. Mr. Markisen loves this school and enjoys working with everyone that calls this school home. He went to BCC and then to UCF. He has his bachelors in Psychology and his Masters in Social Work. He also recently got licensed as an LCSW. As far as his hobbies, Mr. Markisen loves to fish, bowl, play basketball, spend time with friends and family, ride motorcycles, skateboard, and anything else that gets his adrenaline pumping. He is looking forward to a great year and can’t wait to see what it has to offer.
Mr. Jarvis Watson
Discovery Elementary School Counselor
Mr. Watson is ecstatic to be our guidance counselor here at Discovery Elementary School! This will be his 3rd year at Discovery. He’s a military brat, so he’s traveled across various parts of our country. Mr. Watson was born in Maryland, while his brother was born in San Antonio! He’s lived in the great state of Florida for over two decades. He has a beautiful wife of over sixteen years and an eighteen year old bonus daughter who will be graduating from Eau Gallie High School this year! He has a passion for writing, reading, driving, and listening to music. But, the core of his enjoyment is found in sports, particular, professional sports.
He graduated from the University of Ashford with a Bachelor's Degree in behavioral analytics, and then, attained his Master’s Degree from the same university in special education. Mr. Watson is looking forward to working with every student at Discovery Elementary and being an integral part of their growth as they navigate through their elementary years.
